Abstract
In order to deeply implement the innovation-driven development strategy and promote school-enterprise cooperation and collaborative innovation, on August 23, Taiyuan Siliang Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. and Taiyuan University of Science and Technology held a signing ceremony for industry-university-research cooperation and the unveiling ceremony of the Intelligent Equipment Research Institute in the No. 2 conference room of the administrative building. Wang Zhilian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, Bai Peikang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, Liu Xiangjun, Vice President, and heads of relevant departments, as well as Wang Rong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Chairman of Taiyuan Siliang Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., and Vice General Managers Chen Lin, Lei Chen, and Wang Jing attended the signing and unveiling ceremony.
The school-enterprise industry-university-research cooperation will focus on the national coking industry chain-related policies, address the major strategic needs of the country, aim at the development direction of domestic and international coke oven equipment manufacturing, combine the technological research and development advantages of both parties, and follow the principles of "equality and mutual benefit, complementary advantages, highlighting strengths, and focusing on effectiveness" to jointly build a comprehensive, long-term, and stable strategic cooperation relationship in industry-university-research, promoting all-round in-depth cooperation covering talent cultivation, technological research and development, platform co-construction, resource sharing, etc., to achieve win-win cooperation and collaborative development.
Chairman Wang Rong provided a detailed introduction to the current achievements of the company and future development plans. He pointed out that Siliang Heavy Industry has strong capabilities in the field of coke oven equipment manufacturing, fully leveraging its advantages in design, manufacturing, and service throughout the entire process, and vigorously promoting an integrated operation strategy. The company has already possessed the most competitive 6.55-meter, 6.73-meter, 6.78-meter, and 6.8-meter rammed coke oven technologies both domestically and internationally, with multiple sets of investment achievements, and has applied for multiple patent technologies, filling domestic gaps, with several technologies reaching world-leading levels. Both parties have a solid foundation for cooperation and broad development prospects, and the next step will be to innovate cooperation models, broaden cooperation fields, and form more high-quality cooperation results, striving to create a new journey of high-quality development during the "14th Five-Year Plan".
As a key discipline university in Shanxi Province, Taiyuan University of Science and Technology has outstanding achievements in the construction of disciplines in metallurgy machinery, materials, and equipment, cultivating and delivering a large number of excellent talents for the country and enterprises. President Bai Peikang highly praised the remarkable achievements of Siliang Heavy Industry in coke oven manufacturing, reflecting on the History of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, which has made some achievements in technological innovation and talent cultivation. Facing the new era and new requirements, it also faces new opportunities and challenges. Siliang Heavy Industry regards the intelligentization of coke oven equipment as a key focus of its "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic development, establishing a new intelligent ICP distribution center and founding the Intelligent Equipment Research Institute at Taiyuan University of Science and Technology to jointly develop intelligent control digital systems for coke ovens, providing strong support for the company to grow larger and stronger and further enhance Siliang's General Strength and core competitiveness.
